    • Autumn Launches Enterprise Social Policy
Bangalore, India – Apr 26, 2013: Autumn Worldwide in partnership with a leading legal firm and specialists in Indian cyber law, has unveiled ‘Enterprise Social Policy’, a compilation of international standards and key guidelines with respect to the social media space. The Enterprise Social Policy is a trademark product and is established as a new and vital offering among Autumn Worldwide’s existing range of services. It has been designed to help businesses prepare and set down social media policies and guidelines that govern the use of various social media platforms by employees.

Both enterprises and their key stakeholders, especially employees, will now have clarity on the use and enjoyment of social media while at work. Keeping in mind that employees are the first brand ambassadors for any organization, the expectation is always that they will be responsible to uphold and nurture the organization’s public image and reputation. If the behaviors and communication of employees is understood to be a reflection of the company they work for, and if social media is considered a useful and powerful medium for engagement with internal and external audiences and ‘followers’, a comprehensive policy is logically the order of the day.

Tailored to help any and every business that takes its reputation and engagement requirements seriously, the policy enables enterprises to operate with social media and use it extensively and smartly, while being comfortable with a medium. “Social media has had a mixed response among businesses and brands. Some organizations still hesitate when it comes to leveraging its benefits. Others use it widely and frequently. However, a policy that helps clear confusion over social media, outlines its key efficacies and sets out guidelines for deploying it in a strategic manner will help so many organizations warm up to the medium as an effective marketing platform. More knowledge paves the way for freedom of communication and intelligent conversations. Conversations matter because they feed businesses with the additional knowledge they need to serve their customers better,” says Anusha Shetty, CEO of Autumn Worldwide.

The Enterprise Social Policy is wide in its scope and covers key areas like the treatment of confidential information; protocol to follow when employees enter discussions in public forums; clarity on the limits of use of internal memos and intellectual property; company information that must be cleared with management before it is released to the outside world; language used on the social space in posts especially if employees are identified as belonging to a particular organization; employees expressing personal opinions about the business and its practices; the removal or modification of employee posts and disciplinary procedures for non-adherence to expressly communicated regulations on social media usage.

While Autumn’s Enterprise Social Policy is detailed in its scope, it is not meant to be overly restrictive. From in-house communication teams to management and team leaders to junior employees, every single ambassador of an organization is best armed with the knowledge of best practices and unhelpful ones so that social media platforms can benefit enterprises and their people. The Enterprise Social Policy allows organizations to take into account the needs of employees too when social media policies are laid down.

    • Autumn Unveils Social Media Academy for Enterprises
Bangalore, India – Feb 15, 2013: – Autumn Worldwide will offer social media training to its corporate clients through its newly launched Social Media Academy. The Academy will take enterprises through a comprehensive tour of best practices across multiple social media platforms, while also providing basic to in-depth training on day to day social media management by organizations to meet their strategic communication objectives.

As one of Autumn’s flagship initiatives, the Social Media Academy will address the monitoring, analyzing and integrating of intelligence drawn from social media impact at every level in an enterprise. These activities are targeted at understanding engagement potential, meeting key gaps and helping corporate clients focus on consistent and effective multi-way communication within their organizations. Autumn’s Social Media Academy will not only educate businesses on the importance of social media in the current age, but also coach companies in engaging with their internal and external stakeholders as well as provide fundamental guidelines on response management.

“Corporate social media training is not just about teaching someone to tweet or helping increase hits to a featured link on a platform. The core value of social media training lies in the transfer and honing of knowledge management skills. It is imperative, in today’s setting, to respond to social or community cues, train for cultural competence and watching out for exception-based alerts, while having a robust online reputation management strategy. We’re helping enterprises invest in ‘relationship capital’, because no matter what your business is, relationships are important,“ says Anusha Shetty, CEO of Autumn Worldwide.

“A common misconception in today’s market is that social media training is one small part of human resources or marketing, when in fact it is an important function that informs every level in an organization of its successes and required improvements in brand management. Investments in social media training and consequently the deployment of social media marketing are key engines through which vital, though intangible, successes result for modern-day brands,” adds Prashant Ramamurthy, Creative Head at Autumn Worldwide.

Through the Social Media Academy, Autumn Worldwide will assist companies in getting started with social media marketing and communication by being involved in the framing of an organization’s “Corporate Social Media Policy”. Such a policy will help enterprises meet their branding and communication objectives, while augmenting their relationship capital. The Social Media Academy is the route through which a company can ensure that every employee is capable of using social media to benefit the organisation, while sharing information and knowledge across industries and market segments and experiencing a sense of belonging with the organization. Whether challenges or needs arise in the areas of human resources, employee rights, infringements, legal/trademark issues and federal regulatory compliance or in the departments of finance, marketing, customer service, IT, new product development, communication and relationship building through comprehensive engagement will help a company be perceived as a robust brand among internal and external audiences.

With the Social Media Academy, Autumn Worldwide aims to dispel the notion that the excitement over the benefits of social media will fade with time, and enable enterprises instead to recognise and keep up with fundamental shifts in the way the world communicates.
